Welcome to confispace.com (the "website"), operated by Confispace ("Confispace", "we", "us" or "our"). These website terms ("terms") govern your use of the website, including its forms, downloads and content. By using the website you agree to these terms. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you agree to them for that organization and confirm you have the authority to do so. If you don't agree, please don't use the website.
Please also read our privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal information.
1. Our products are governed by separate agreements
These terms cover the website only. Your organization's use of Confispace products — such as Confispace Check-in and the Confispace Attendee App — is governed by the separate agreement, order form or pilot terms you sign with us (your "customer agreement"). If these terms conflict with your customer agreement, the customer agreement wins.
Product features described on the website depend on your plan, configuration and customer agreement. Service levels — such as uptime commitments, data residency and support — apply only as set out in a customer agreement.
2. Who can use the website
The website is intended for businesses and event professionals. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use its forms or enter into any agreement with us.
3. Using the website
You may browse the website, share links to it and use its content for your own information or your organization's internal evaluation of Confispace. You agree not to:
- Use the website in any way that breaks the law or the rights of others.
- Try to gain unauthorized access to the website, its systems or other users' information, or probe, scan or test its vulnerabilities.
- Interfere with the website's operation — for example by overloading it, or by introducing malware or harmful code.
- Copy, reproduce, republish or resell substantial parts of the website, or use it to build a competing product or dataset.
- Use automated tools to extract content from the website, other than search engines and AI assistants that follow our robots.txt file.
- Submit false, misleading or someone else's information through our forms, or impersonate any person or organization.
- Use the website to send spam or to harvest other people's contact details.
4. Forms, demos and communications
When you book a demo, plan a pilot, download a resource or contact us, you agree to give accurate information and that we may contact you about your request. We'll handle your information as described in our privacy policy. You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, and that electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that a communication be in writing.
5. Free pilot events
From time to time we offer a free pilot event so you can try Confispace on a real event.
- Who it's for — event agencies, conference organizers, trade-show owners and corporate event teams running a real upcoming event.
- Size — free pilots are for events of up to 300 attendees. Pilots of larger events are available at a pilot price.
- Availability — pilots are offered at our discretion, subject to our capacity and your event's timing, and we may change or end the offer at any time.
- Pilot terms — before your pilot starts, we'll agree its scope with you, and pilot terms or a customer agreement will govern the products you use. Free pilots don't include contractual service levels, which are available under paid customer agreements.
- Your event data — during a pilot, you control your attendees' information and we process it on your behalf, as described in our privacy policy.
6. Free downloads
Resources we offer on the website, such as our night-before checklist, are for your personal or internal business use. You may share them within your organization with their Confispace attribution intact, but you may not sell them or present them as your own.
7. Feedback
We welcome ideas and suggestions. If you send us feedback, you agree that we may use it freely to improve our products and services, without any obligation to you.
8. Intellectual property
The website and its content — including text, graphics, product screens, designs, logos and software — are owned by Confispace or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. "Confispace", the Confispace logo and our product names are trademarks of Confispace. Except as these terms allow, you may not use our content or trademarks without our written permission. You may link to the website, provided you don't suggest an endorsement or partnership that doesn't exist.
9. Examples and illustrations
To show how our products work, the website uses examples. Names, events, organizations, figures and reports shown in product screens and sample reports are illustrative unless stated otherwise. Event photography shows the world of events, is used under license, and does not depict Confispace customers unless stated.
10. Third-party websites and services
The website may link to websites and services that we don't operate, such as social networks and app stores. We aren't responsible for their content, products or practices, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
11. Copyright concerns
If you believe content on the website infringes your copyright, email contact@confispace.com with "Copyright notice" in the subject, including: a description of the work, where it appears on the website, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized and that your notice is accurate. We'll review it promptly and remove infringing content where appropriate.
12. Disclaimers
The website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that information on it is complete or current. Nothing on the website is a binding offer or a commitment about future product features.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Confispace will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the website. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the website will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US $100). Any claim related to the website must be brought within one year after it arises. Some places don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you. Liability under a customer agreement is governed by that agreement.
14. Indemnity
If you use the website for an organization, you agree to defend and indemnify Confispace against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the website or your breach of these terms.
15. Export controls and sanctions
You agree to comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws when using the website and our products, and you confirm that you are not located in, or acting for anyone located in, a country or region subject to comprehensive US sanctions, and that you are not on any US government list of restricted parties.
16. Changes to the website and these terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the website at any time. We may also update these terms; we'll change the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we'll give reasonable notice. Your continued use of the website after changes take effect means you accept them.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

- Severability — if any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver — if we don't enforce a right, that isn't a waiver of it.
- Assignment — you may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- Events beyond our control — we aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Language — these terms are written in English; if we provide a translation, the English version controls.
